What to expect on your first visit

Kung Acupuncture believes in a strong patient-practitioner relationship. We will be reviewing your medical history as well as any health concerns associated with it. Please come ready to discuss your medical history as well as bring any medications you are currently taking.

For more information, please check out the FAQ section.

Here are some tips to prepare before your first visit:

  • The initial treatment will involve a tongue and pulse diagnosis, therefore, we encourage you NOT to brush your tongue before your visit.  (The tongue coating allows us to see a more accurate picture of your digestive system and total health).

  • Masks are mandatory upon entering and leaving the office.

  • You may come dressed in comfortable, loose clothing or have the option of draping.

  • Do eat something small if you haven't eaten all day. Acupuncture tends to lower blood pressure, so please eat to prevent fainting.

  • Avoid caffeine, strenuous exercise, drinking alcohol, and eating anything heavy at least two hours before and after treatment.

  • Please bring paperwork for any referrals from Doctors & Specialists.

  • For your Facial Rejuvenation visit, you have the option of arriving with your face pre-washed or having it washed at the appointment.

Debbie is the real deal. I’ve worked with a handful of acupuncturists and Debbie is on a whole different level. She seeks to understand what’s going on with you so we can direct her treatment plan accordingly; she educates you on a variety of ways (besides acupuncture) of how to help yourself; and her treatments work! Debbie provides the level of care that I think is so often missing in health care today in general. I’m a huge fan.
